The verdict:
 
An abject first half display was inevitably surpassed by Ewell’s second half showing, although they ultimately fell well short of expectations in what proved to be a disappointing defeat. With a crucial run of fixtures in the next month, they will not be able to dwell too long on their shortcomings.
