The verdict:
 
Ewell’s resurgent finish to the game provided them with a modicum of consolation after an abject and error strewn first half. The calamitous start made for a challenging afternoon and the award of the second goal bordered farcical, although there is no doubt that the performance itself fell well short of expectations.
