Tanous. Assist: Clancy. Ewell’s great start is rewarded with a second goal, as Tanous’ swivel and shot from the edge of box finds the bottom corner.

Bullock. Assist: Ahmad. Ahmad’s devilish delivery is met firmly by Bullock, who steers his header beyond the hapless keeper.

Hodge. Assist: Kingshott. After netting his first of the season last time out, Hodge is on hand to pounce from close range. Chipperton’s header from Ahmad’s corner thumps off the bar and Kingshott waywardly prods the rebound towards goal, only for Hodge to divert it goalwards.

The verdict:
 
Ewell started the game with the same clinical edge that saw them romp to victory in the second half last week. Whilst a sterner test surely awaits them next week, in the form of Merton Social, their performance ought not to be sniffed at as they outperformed a team with several technically gifted individuals.
