The verdict:
A poor opening 45 minutes left Ewell wondering if they were going to on the receiving end of a cup humbling. Nevertheless, they rallied and demonstrated great spirit to rescue the game and take their opponents into extra time. A creditable achievement for a squad that had been ravaged by injuries and lack of availability.
