Chipperton. Assist: Clancy. Clancy is felled in the area and steps up to take the resulting penalty. His weak effort is saved, but encroachment from the defending side means the kick is to be retaken. Chipperton replaces Clancy as the taker and dispatches the ball into the bottom corner.

Ewell fashion a promising chance but Clancy and work another glorious opening as Clancy dummies a cut back so that Hitch can apply the finishing touch, but the latter is thwarted by a last ditch tackle.

Ewell marked their return to league duties with an emphatic victory and by chalking up a selection of well-taken goals. Whilst they’ll need to play catch up owing to cancellations and postponements, their impressive run of form continues, this victory making it 7 consecutive wins.
