Two representatives of the Surrey South East Combination were set to lock horns and fight it out for a place in the last 8 of the Junior County Cup. Although Chessington were promoted ahead of AFC Ewell, the hosts held their own in the league encounters between the two sides during the 13/14 season and started 2015 off the back of their 9 game winning streak.

Ransom, Cooper and Clancy convert their spot kicks. However, Chipperton and Bullock have their efforts saved whilst N. Williams fires wide and Bunde’s effort strikes the crossbar.
The verdict:
Despite crashing out of the cup, Ewell could be satisfied with their efforts as the lottery of penalties was required in order to settle the tie. After leading 3 times, perhaps they ought to have seen out the game in normal time or extra time, but they can be proud of their efforts nevertheless.
