Preview:
Keen to avoid a second premature cup exit inside within a month, an injury ravaged Ewell team faced an unknown quantity in the second round of the County Cup, having picked up a bye in the first round.

The verdict:
Given that Ewell could only field a 6-a-side team on Sunday morning, a patched up side secured a thoroughly impressive victory that was made all the more impressive by the fact they were forced to overcome early adversity and successfully overturned a 2-0 deficit. Resolute defending in the latter stages meant that they avoided a nervy period of extra time and the lottery of penalties, ensuring that they remain in the draw for the third round.
