A resilient second half fightback ultimately came to nothing and the team were left wondering what could have been. Despite playing well in patches and creating half chances the team trailed at the interval. A  spirited comeback was demanded during the team talk, with belief and desire notably lacking at that point. This looked to be on the cards after Chipperton and Steven's link up on the edge of the box resulted in the latter's shot nestling into the corner. Ewell continued to probe and Hitch was unfortunate to see his header cannon off the bar from a corner. Shalford managed to grab another goal which understandably knocked the stuffing out of the team, though they continued to battle. Instead of capitulating, the team rallied and Keogh finished will aplomb after Groves slipped him in. Hitch then levelled proceedings after battling to win the ball on the edge of the Shalford area, dribbling past a couple of defenders and unleashing an unstoppable effort. Buoyed by the improved second half showing the team continued to press for a winner,  but came undone by what proved to be the game's final goal.On the whole it wasn't the result or performance that was expected, though the team are determined to return to winning ways next week.
